We saw a lot head nodding people in front of the stage and even a few Against All Odds shirts here and there! The best part was when we asked the crowd to rock out as hard as they could, and we'd give the two people that rocked out the most a shirt. A few hours after our show on the main stage, we got a phone call from 3voor12. They were at the festival, filming some bands. One of the bands had to cancel their session and they asked us if we could replace them by playing two songs in front of their camera, behind the Beeckestijn manor. And so we did. We even had a crowd at that peaceful place as we were playing All for Nothing and Fan the Flame. Talk about a nice surprise! We'll be playing them this weekend on friday at the BukBuk in Heiloo and saturday at Merv's in Alkmaar. We'll be playing both shows (once again) with our friends from The Loss. And in the BukBuk, stoner band Cellphyll from Alkmaar will join the lineup. Also, Beeckestijnpop is coming up the weekend after and we are really looking forward to it. They have been around for about eight years, changed their name a few times and switched members along the way. But things didn't go as planned. First of all, there was no sound engineer available. (He walked in when we were playing our last song!!!) We had about ten minutes to build up our stuff and make our sound right, which was obviously way too short. After that, Jans cable was kicked out by Bert, which caused him to miss almost two songs. We knew this wasn't going to be OK from the moment we started playing and we knew that we were going to place third in the finals, and so we did. On the bright side, we won a small trophy for our third place and 25 euros which we can spend in a music store in Haarlem, but we're not very proud at it, as you might understand. We'd like to forget this show and move on to our next one. Thursday 25 february, we'll play at Café Lokaal in our hometown Heemskerk. We promise a much better show that evening. This is a contest for bands who signed up, but were not selected for the Rob Acda award. The first place is, obviously, the trophy itself and a place in the last pre-round of the Rob Acda award.
